«Safari» is the children's adventure novel by Maite Carranza, published by EDEBÉ in paperback (276 pages, in Spanish).
Dani wakes up in the middle of the jungle, in the arms of a huge chimpanzee and unable to speak; he only remembers Mary Jo. Then fragments come to him: candy, his mother's accident, a zoo moat, Bigotes' cruelties, and a trip to Africa. If he wants everything to make sense, Dani will have to explain about the lions, his family, the safari, and Mary Jo.
Illustrated by Manuel Ortega, it is part of EDEBÉ's Tucán Verde collection and is recommended for readers aged 10 and up. It won the EDEBÉ Prize for Children's Literature 2019.
