«Salim - Voramar» is the historical children's and young adult novel by Josep Chafer Martinez, published by Edicions Voramar in paperback (88 pages, in Catalan).
The story is set in a framework of historical fiction with an Oriental inspiration: the cover shows a character with a turban and armor sitting by an open window overlooking the sea, with sailing ships and a yellow rose. The work combines this setting with interpersonal relationships and a romantic thread, within a historical fiction proposal for children and young adults.
It is part of the LECTURAS series from Voramar. Includes illustrations by Ferran Boscà; the cover indicates the 9th edition. Published in 2006.
Intended for young readers who are starting out in historical fiction, and also used as school reading in Catalan.
