«Sang d'encre au 36» is a crime thriller by Hervé Jourdain, published by Pocket in paperback (380 pages, in French).
In the Paris region, several ordinary people are murdered with the same modus operandi, while the culprit sends mocking letters to the press. Commander Duhamel and his team, at 36 quai des Orfèvres, investigate the case; the letters, stamped with a Simenon postmark, point to the legacy of Maigret's creator.
Published in 2011, the book won the readers' prize of the Grand Prix VSD du polar. The author, Hervé Jourdain, is a police captain in the Paris Criminal Brigade.
