«Sara i Jeremies» is the contemporary novel by Sebastià Alzamora, published by Proa in 2002 in paperback (248 pages, in Catalan).
The novel alternates between the present of the protagonist couple, grandparents who gather their extended family in Mallorca, and the memory of a son who disappeared years earlier. Through memory, it reconstructs a story of love, friendship and solitude in pre-tourist Mallorca, where love and evil manifest themselves almost wildly from youth to old age.
It belongs to the A TOT VENT-BETA collection and was awarded the Premi Ciutat de Palma Llorenç Villalonga de Novel·la 2001.
For a general audience interested in contemporary fiction and stories about family memory, with pre-tourist Mallorca as a backdrop.
