«Saxo y rosas» is the young adult novel by María Arregui, published by Anaya in paperback (176 pages, in Spanish).
The story takes place in a neighborhood where an attack on immigrants triggers a conflict among the young people. Raquel and Germán become involved, while Magda, Raquel's friend and sister of one of the attackers, tries to clarify the events. The novel thus addresses racism and prejudice among youth.
First published in 1995, it is part of Anaya's Espacio Abierto collection (no. 29).
It is aimed at children and young adults, within fiction for intermediate and advanced readers.
