«Semblava de seda i altres contes» is the short story collection by Mercè Rodoreda, published by Edicions 62 in paperback (128 pages, in Catalan).
The volume brings together stories from different periods in which Rodoreda demonstrates her mastery of the short story. The narratives combine the objective technique of North American origin with more intimate and fantastic registers, such as the story that gives the book its title, all with prose of great expressive force.
