«Sentinels» is the young adult novel by Martín Piñol, published by La Galera in paperback (288 pages, in Spanish).
A television presenter at the height of his fame gives it all up to become a vigilante hero, with the audience as his ally. Together with his friend, he creates Sentinels, a reality show mixed with a talent show that seeks ten participants to form a team of heroes who fight for peace, justice and ratings. The coexistence will be chaotic and the missions will lack the epicness of Marvel and DC comics, while the villain Doctor Terror tries to finish them off to improve his audience figures.
Winner of the Premi Joaquim Ruyra 2016. Volume 38 of the Lluna roja collection. Recommended reading for ages 14 to 18.
For young readers who enjoy a sharp satire on television, reality shows and the world of superheroes.
