Kahlen was saved from a shipwreck by the Water and, to repay her debt, became a siren: for a hundred years she must use her voice to lure humans to the sea. When she meets Akinli, a kind and gentle boy, a forbidden connection is born. Falling in love with a human is a transgression, and if the Water discovers it, Kahlen will lose Akinli forever.

Originally published in English as The Siren in 2009, this Portuguese edition from Seguinte features a translation by Cristian Clemente.
