«Si lo dicta el corazón» is the young adult novel by María Menéndez-Ponte, published by Ediciones SM in paperback (249 pages, in Spanish).
Samuel, from the family of the high priest Annas, meets again in Capernaum with Judit, a former playmate, and falls in love with her. They belong to opposing religious clans; only the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, whom Samuel has met, can help them, and love is presented as the driving force to overcome difficulties.
Published in 2010, it is the fourth title in the collection «Los libros de María», within the Gran Angular series from Ediciones SM.
Recommended reading for young people aged 13 to 18, with a love story and a historical backdrop in the time of Jesus.
