«Si un día vuelves a Brasil» is the young adult novel by Elia Barceló, published by Alba Editorial in paperback (176 pages, in Spanish).
Jandro and Inés spend a few days in Rio de Janeiro while their father, a biologist, works in Manaus. Meeting Silvana, who begs with a baby, brings them closer to the reality of poor neighborhoods and a child-trafficking ring. The diary written by Jandro years later becomes a thriller about present-day Brazil.
The work belongs to the Joven collection; Alba Editorial published its first edition in Spain in May 2003.
Novel aimed at young and adult readers interested in an adventure story with social background and Brazilian setting.
Elia Barceló or Elia Eisterer-Barceló was a Spanish academic in Austria and she then became a successful full-time writer. She writes in different genres and her work has been adapted to screen.
