«Sin novedad en el frente» is the anti-war novel by Erich Maria Remarque, published by Edhasa in paperback (230 pages, in Spanish).
The novel follows a young German soldier during World War I and describes his daily life in the trenches: fear, desperation, comradeship, and the physical and moral wear caused by combat. The narration conveys the brutality of the conflict and the disillusionment of those who endure it.
Work originally published as «Im Westen nichts Neues», translated into Spanish by Judith Vilar. It is the first title in the series «All Quiet on the Western Front/The Road Back».
For readers of classics of war literature and historical fiction about World War I.

Erich Maria Remarque was a German novelist. His landmark novel All Quiet on the Western Front (1928), based on his experience in the Imperial German Army during World War I, was an international bestseller which created a new literary genre of veterans writing about conflict. The book was adapted to film several times. Remarque's anti-war themes led to his condemnation by Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels as "unpatriotic". He was able to use his literary success and fame to relocate to Switzerland as a refugee, and to the United States, where he became a naturalized citizen.
