«Son unha noz» is the children's novel by Beatriz Osés, with illustrations by Jordi García Sempere, published by Rodeira in paperback (128 pages).
Rossana Marinetti, a bitter lawyer who has sued almost everyone, sees her life change when Omar, a refugee child, falls from the branch of her walnut tree. To be able to keep him, she claims he is a walnut and that, according to an ancient law, any fruit that falls from her tree in her garden belongs to her. A botanist, a dressmaker and a shoemaker back the idea, while Omar remembers the war he fled from.
Published on February 27, 2018, it won the Edebé Prize for Children's Literature 2018 and belongs to the Tucán collection.
For readers aged 8 and up, especially if they are interested in stories about the reception of refugee children.
