It brings together in narrative form the plots of Richard Wagner's operas, which the German composer built from ancient legends passed down by word of mouth. The narration follows the way Wagner used those tales and adapts them for young readers in a simple tone.

Aimed at child and young readers, it allows them to learn the plots of Wagner's operas in an accessible way.
