«Suburbial» is Antoni Dalmases's poetry collection, published by Edicions Saldonar in paperback (84 pages, in Catalan).
The poems in Suburbial start from observing the surroundings to turn them into words: poetry tries to reveal what appearances hide, gather what is essential, and offer an image of the world and of those who inhabit it. A book that vindicates language and the poem as a tool for reflection.
Volume 28 of the Poemes collection. First edition. Published in March 2024. Foreword by Jaume Aulet. Winner of the XVIII Joan Perucho Poetry Prize «Vila d'Ascó».
Aimed at readers of contemporary poetry in Catalan interested in reflective lyricism about everyday surroundings and their margins.
