«Suerte de perro y otras historias» is the collection of short stories by José Fernández de la Sota published in 2005 by the Fundación Municipal de Cultura de Cádiz.
The volume brings together stories of everyday atmosphere and restrained tone. The story that opens the book shows a man who, while waiting for a woman to return from work, calms himself by stroking the back of his daughter, motionless before a painting of deer; the scene condenses the unease that runs through these tales of the author's narrative.
The volume consists of 184 pages and belongs to the Colección Calambé, published under the Algaida imprint.
For readers of contemporary Spanish fiction seeking stories of intimate atmosphere and unsettling tone.
