«Tales of the Elves» is the collection of Icelandic folk tales compiled by Jón Árnason, published by Bjartur in hardcover (34 pages, in English).
Seven Icelandic tales about elves and hidden people. In them, ordinary characters encounter the supernatural in snowy landscapes: a child lost in a blizzard shares shelter with visitors from another world, and magical creatures intervene in everyday life.
Adaptation by Anna Kristín Ásbjörnsdóttir, with color illustrations by Florence Helga Thibault and translation into English by Victoria Cribb.
Intended for child and young adult readers, and for those who enjoy Nordic folklore and the legends of Iceland.
