«Tamza de menseneter» is a children's story by Asma Ould Aissa and Hannah Van der Cruyssen, published by Studio Sesam in 2022, in hardcover (28 pages, in Dutch).
Amar and Silya live in the land of the seven mountains and love prickly pears. One day they find the sweetest ones, but they are not the only ones who want to taste them: Tamza, a mysterious woman, is also looking for a fig. The story is based on a Berber folk tale passed down orally from generation to generation.
It is part of the Sesam-prentenboeken series, a collection of picture books defined as culturally sensitive and opposed to stereotypes.
Recommended for young children and early readers, especially for those seeking illustrated stories with cultural diversity.
