«Tartesos, otra mirada» is the historical essay by José F. Ruiz Mata, published by Almuzara in 2009 (206 pages, in Spanish).
The author draws on archaeological excavations and bibliographic references to rethink the role of Tartessos. The work asks whether this culture of the southwestern peninsula could have been the first Western civilization, and proposes a different reading of its history and legacy.
For readers interested in the ancient history of the Iberian Peninsula and the debate on the origins of the West.
