«Técnicas de iluminación» is Eloy Tizón's collection of short stories published by Editorial Páginas de Espuma in paperback, 168 pages, in Spanish.
The ten stories start from everyday situations —a party, a box delivered in secret, a family leaving the city— and open unsettling cracks in the real. The strange slips into normality and leaves unanswered questions that the reader completes. Tizón's prose creates a dreamlike atmosphere where clarity and misfortune coexist.
The work is number 193 in the Voces / Literatura collection. In 2013 it received the Premio La tormenta en un vaso for the best book written in any of the languages of the Spanish State.
For those seeking short stories from contemporary Spanish literature in which the everyday becomes strange.
