«Teología e ideología» is José María Mardones's essay on political theology, published by Mensajero in paperback in 1979 (273 pages, in Spanish).
The book pits the political theology of hope of Jürgen Moltmann against the critical theory of the Frankfurt School. Mardones examines their agreements and disagreements, and shows how the critique of ideology can challenge Christian faith and its social commitment in the twentieth century.
The book derives from José María Mardones's doctoral thesis at the University of Deusto (1976) and is number 14 in the Teología-Deusto collection; it includes a bibliography (pp. 265-272).
For readers interested in political theology, the Frankfurt School, and the debate between faith and social criticism.
