«Terre champ de bataille Les derniers hommes» is the science fiction novel by L. Ron Hubbard, in hardcover (France-Loisirs, 1986, 397 pages, in French).
The novel presents a dystopian future in the year 3000: the last men resist an oppressive power in a devastated world. Its epic and warlike tone is reflected on the cover, with a bearded warrior armed with two pistols amid flames and destruction.
In France the work was published in two volumes; this volume corresponds to the first, «Les derniers hommes».
It is aimed at readers of classic science fiction and action adventures in dystopian futures.

Lafayette Ronald Hubbard was an American author and the founder of Scientology. A prolific writer of pulp science fiction and fantasy novels in his early career, in 1950 he authored the pseudoscientific book Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health and established organizations to promote and practice Dianetics techniques. Hubbard created Scientology in 1952 after losing the intellectual rights to his literature on Dianetics in bankruptcy. He would lead the Church of Scientology – variously described as a cult, a new religious movement, or a business – until his death in 1986.
