«The 2000 Year Old Man Goes to School» is the children's picture book by Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner, published by HarperCollins in hardcover, in English.
A man who claims to be 2000 years old flies to the United States and visits an elementary school to tell children what life was like in the past. He humorously answers the teacher's and students' questions: what he ate, what language he spoke, or what has kept him alive all these years.
The book, illustrated by James Bennett, was published in 2005 and has 40 pages. It includes a CD with «The 2000 Year Old Man Tells All», performed by Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner.
Recommended for children aged 4 to 8, both for reading aloud and for early readers with an interest in prehistory and humor.
