«The accident!» is a graded reader in English by Rita E. Lovell, published by La Spiga Edizioni in paperback (31 pages, in English).
A street mishap brings two children together: one is in a purple vehicle and the other, in a red uniform, comes out to help. The story is presented as a reading game in English in which you must follow the clues in the text and illustrations to work out what happened.
Published in 2000, it is part of the First Readers - Activity Books collection from La Spiga Languages. The series combines graded English readers with supplementary activities.
It is intended for students of English as a foreign language (ESL) in a school setting, especially in secondary education, who want to improve their reading with short stories.
