«The Book of the Harvesters, Milkmen and Hop-pickers» is a children's book by Beshlie, published by Orchard Books in hardcover (24 pages, in English).
Beshlie has traveled across England, often with the Travelling People, and revives three almost-forgotten rural trades: harvesters, milkmen and hop-pickers. With careful illustrations and a personal text, she describes country life and the rural economy, with scenes such as hop-picking, in which whole families took part.
The cover features «Beshlie's Countryside: The Book of the Harvesters, Milkman & Hop-pickers», an edition produced with The National Trust.
Aimed at children and young people from around 8 years old, with an interest in history, the economy and traditional English country trades.
