«The Complete Fairy Tales» is the collection of tales by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, published by Wordsworth Editions in paperback (848 pages, in English).
It brings together over two hundred German folk tales: alongside «Rapunzel», «Sleeping Beauty», «Hansel and Gretel» and «Snow White» appear darker stories, such as «Death's Messengers», with princes, witches, giants, dwarfs and fabulous animals.
The original title of the work, «Kinder- und Hausmärchen», was first published in 1812. This edition belongs to Wordsworth's Special Editions series.
Recommended for readers of classic tales and for those interested in folklore and German oral tradition.

Jacob Ludwig Karl Grimm, also known as Ludwig Karl, was a German author, linguist, philologist, jurist, and folklorist. He formulated Grimm's law of linguistics, and was the co-author of the Deutsches Wörterbuch, the author of Deutsche Mythologie, and the editor of Grimms' Fairy Tales. He was the older brother of Wilhelm Grimm; together, they were the literary duo known as the Brothers Grimm.
