«The Iron Hotel» is the adventure and suspense novel by Sam Llewellyn, published by Michael Joseph in hardcover (352 pages, in English).
David Jenkins, unemployed and hopeless, agrees to captain the old Glory of Saipan, a rusty freighter carrying 350 illegal Chinese immigrants to California. The owner's rules for that Iron Hotel are brutal: violence allowed, sex with the cargo allowed, but no falling in love, or his daughter will die. Jenkins imposes his own rules and devises a plan to escape on the Pacific crossing.
For readers of thrillers, mystery and adventure novels with a maritime setting.
Sam Llewellyn is a British author of literature for children and adults.
