«The Redemption of Althalus» is the epic fantasy novel by David and Leigh Eddings, published by HarperVoyager in paperback (928 pages, in English).
Althalus, an unscrupulous thief, agrees to steal a book from the House at the End of the World and finds a talking cat, Emmy. When he comes back out, thousands of years have passed, and Emmy asks for his help to save the world: her brother, the god Daeva, wants to undo creation. To prevent this, Althalus must gather allies with the help of a magical knife.
Standalone work, not part of a series; the edition includes two maps and was published in 2001.
For adults who love classic epic fantasy and grand quests with colorful heroes.
