«This is Dalí» is the illustrated biography of Salvador Dalí by Catherine Ingram and Andrew Rae, published by Laurence King in hardcover (80 pages, in English).
It traces the life of Salvador Dalí and the meaning of his surrealist painting, including his commercial projects, from jewellery to the design of Chupa Chups. With illustrations by Andrew Rae, it presents surrealism as a way of life and recreates the Dream Ball at the Coq Rouge, the house at Port Lligat and the underwater pavilion of the World's Fair.
It is part of the series «This Is...artists-bios»; this volume dedicated to Dalí is the first in the collection.
For readers interested in art history, surrealism and illustrated biographies of artists.
