Thor, son of Odin, is a proud warrior with a violent temper. When Loki plays a trick on Sif, Thor's betrothed, Odin orders him to go to the world of the dwarves to obtain gifts to make amends for the offense. Loki returns with the hammer Mjölnir, master of thunder, and Thor must prove he can master his wrath and be the hero that gods and men need.
