Synopsis of Tocar el agua, tocar el viento
En 'Tocar el agua, tocar el viento', Amoz Oz nos presenta una novela que invita a la reflexión sobre los límites del cuerpo y el alma, la fuerza de la naturaleza, la imposibilidad de comprender la muerte y la infinitud, y los anhelos metafísicos. La historia se desarrolla en 1939, cuando los nazis invaden Polonia, obligando al matemático y relojero judío Elisha Pomeranz a huir a los bosques, dejando atrás a su esposa Stefa. Tras la guerra, ambos buscan reencontrarse, Stefa en la Rusia de Stalin y Elisha en Israel, donde un nuevo conflicto se avecina. Amoz Oz añade un toque de fantasía alegórica, donde Elisha levita y Stefa se convierte en una heroína cómica de la burocracia soviética.
