Tom boasts that his father is the best jouster in the kingdom, and the fearsome Dark Knight accepts the challenge: he dares the kind and unathletic Sir John to a duel at the Grand Jousting Tournament of Creaky Castle. Tom will have to come up with wild plans to keep his father from being ridiculed or, worse, destroyed.
Part of the Creaky Castle series, with illustrations by Stephen Parkhouse. Recommended reading age: 8 to 10 years.
For boys and girls who are starting to read on their own and enjoy stories of knights, castles, and humor.
