«Tom bricole» is the children's book by Russell Hoban, published by Gallimard in the Folio Benjamin collection in paperback (48 pages, in French).
Tom lives with his aunt, and what he likes most is doing crafts, going for walks and daydreaming; in a word, entertaining himself in his own way. His aunt does not approve, and when Captain Najork appears with his hired athletes, Tom shows that he can beat them at more than just a game.
Original work: 'A near thing for Captain Najork'. Translation by Marie-Raymond Farré and illustrations by Quentin Blake; number 101 in Folio Benjamin.
For young readers who enjoy stories of wit and mischief.
