«Tom Gates: Plans GENIALS (o no)» is the humorous children's novel by Liz Pichon, published by Bruño in hardcover (240 pages).
In this installment of Tom Gates's illustrated diary, the protagonist confesses that he follows none of his own advice for succeeding at school: not falling asleep in class, not drawing the teachers, staying away from the bully, and not letting his older sister boss him around. Humor and doodles run through his school and family adventures.
Ninth volume in the Tom Gates series. The collection has received the Roald Dahl Funny Prize, the Red House Children's Book Award, the Waterstones Children's Book Prize and the Blue Peter Book Award.
Recommended for child and young readers ages 10 and up who enjoy school stories full of humor and illustrations.
