«Tom, pequeño Tom, hombrecito Tom» is the novel by Barbara Constantine published by Seix Barral in paperback, with 224 pages, in Spanish.
Tom, aged eleven, lives with his mother Joss, aged twenty-four, in an old caravan. When she goes out, he is left alone and sneaks into the neighbors' vegetable gardens to eat. One night he finds Madeleine, aged ninety-three, fallen among her cabbages; the encounter intertwines several characters battered by life who, with humor and affection, find their place.
Translation by Braulio García Jaén. Edition in the Biblioteca Formentor collection. Original French «Tom, petit Tom, tout petit homme, Tom» (2010), winner of the Prix Charles-Exbrayat.
