«Toño se queda solo» is the children's story by Thierry Lenain, illustrated by Delphine Durand, published by Edelvives in paperback (31 pages).
Toño rejects classmates who seem different to him, whether because of their language or their origin. His attitude ends up driving his friends away: they prefer to play without him and the boy is left alone in the playground. A story that invites reflection on racism, intolerance and the value of friendship.
Third title in the Ala Delta - Red series collection, published on August 5, 2002. Translated from the French by María Isabel Molina Llorente.
Recommended for children aged 5 to 6, and useful for addressing diversity and coexistence in the classroom.
