«Tot això ho faig perquè tinc molta por» is the novel by Empar Moliner, published by labutxaca in paperback (208 pages, in Catalan).
With humor and sarcasm, the book portrays contemporary neuroses: mothers who go running in the woods, a presenter who tries to flirt with his interviewee, the fear that a child might have an accident, and couples who have lost their laughter. Empar Moliner tackles the absurdity of everyday life, fear, and the difficulty of loving without hurting.
Awarded the Premi Mercè Rodoreda 2015; edition published in 2017.
For readers of contemporary fiction who appreciate an ironic portrait of everyday life.
