«Traïció a la independència» is the political essay by David Raventós and Jordi Gispert (Llibres de l'Índex, paperback, 176 pages, in Catalan).
The book is critical of the procés leaders: it argues that independence was not achieved due to their actions and explains the disenchantment. It recounts David Raventós's indefinite hunger strike in 2016 and his confinement in a psychiatric hospital, presented as chemical torture, to dismantle the official narrative.
Volume 70 of the Descoberta collection, published on September 18, 2019 by Llibres de l'Índex (Ediciones de La Tempestad, S.L.).
Aimed at readers who follow the Catalan sovereignty debate and seek a critical view of the procés and its leaders.
