«Trilobites» is the popular science album by Maia F. Miret and Manuel Monroy, in hardcover (52 pages, in Spanish).
The book brings readers closer to trilobites, small prehistoric creatures from the Cambrian period, 542 million years ago. Based on their anatomy, it connects these fossils with everyday objects —medieval armor, fashion, jewelry— and with ideas from biology and engineering, in an accessible and illustrated approach.
The book belongs to the collection El libro Océano de… and closes with activities to build and color trilobites.
Aimed at boys and girls aged 6 to 9 interested in prehistoric animals and science, or who are starting out in paleontology.
