«Trust» is the literary fiction novel by Hernan Diaz, published by Picador in paperback (402 pages, in English).
Set in 1920s New York, the novel follows Benjamin and Helen Rask, a Wall Street magnate and the daughter of eccentric aristocrats. Their fortune and marriage are reconstructed in four conflicting versions, including a 1938 novel, which dismantle the official account and force a distinction between truth and fiction.
Winner of the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and longlisted for the 2022 Booker Prize, the Picador edition was released in June 2023.
Suitable for reading groups and for those seeking literary and historical fiction with a fragmentary structure.
