«Umgang mit Tieren» is a humor book by German author Loriot, published in 1986 by Diogenes in hardcover (74 pages, in German).
«Umgang mit Tieren» presents itself as an ironic manual for dealing with animals: a collection of cartoons and short texts in which Loriot depicts absurd situations between humans and animals, with the author's characteristic dry humor and a gentle satire on living with the animal world.
«Umgang mit Tieren» bears the subtitle «Das einzige Nachschlagewerk seiner Art» and was published in the «Bibliothek für Lebenskünstler» series.
May appeal to lovers of absurd humor and everyday satire, as well as those interested in caricature and German graphic humor.
Bernhard-Viktor Christoph-Carl von Bülow, known as Vicco von Bülow or Loriot, was a German comedian, humorist, cartoonist, film director, actor and writer. As an artist, he was almost exclusively known under his pen name Loriot, which is the French term for the bird oriole depicted as a crest in the coat of arms of the Bülow family.
