«Un cadáver en el sótano» is the young adult mystery novel by Norah McClintock and María Teresa Marcos Bermejo, published by Ediciones SM in paperback (194 pages, in Spanish).
Tasha decides to keep the Café Fireside building when it is about to be demolished, but workers discover under the rubble the body of a woman who could be her mother, missing for five years. The postcards she sent from Vancouver made it seem she was still alive, and the police begin to suspect Tasha's father. The young woman will have to find the real culprit while many hide their own secrets.
It is the sixth title in the El Navegante collection, published by Ediciones SM in 2001.
