«Un cuadro de Velázquez» is the children's art book by Claire d'Harcourt, published by Faktoría K de Libros in hardcover (36 pages, in Spanish).
It invites readers into Velázquez's Las Meninas, a famous and enigmatic painting in art history. It places the reader in the painter's studio at the Royal Palace of Madrid in the 17th century and details the characters: the Infanta Margarita, her maids of honor, the court, and the king and queen reflected in the mirror.
It belongs to the «Arte» collection from Faktoría K de Libros and was published in 2011. The cover reproduces a detail of Las Meninas and a portrait of Velázquez with brush and palette.
For young readers interested in art and painting, with a didactic and visual approach.
