«Un domingo como otro cualquiera» is the novel by Liane Moriarty, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardcover (558 pages, in Spanish).
The novel follows two families bound by friendship at a barbecue that becomes the turning point in their lives. Erika, obsessed with «normality», tries to mend her relationship with Clementine, who is tormented by remorse over what happened that Sunday. Moriarty weaves together the consequences of an apparently trivial event to explore the limits of friendship, guilt and the secrets hidden behind the everyday facade.
The work, originally published in English as «Truly Madly Guilty» in 2016, was nominated for the Australian Book Industry Award and won the Goodreads Choice Award for fiction.
For readers of contemporary fiction about personal relationships, secrets and guilt, and for book clubs seeking suspense and debate.
