«Un jardin sur mon balcon» is the practical gardening guide by Martyn Cox, published by Delachaux et Niestlé in paperback (256 pages, in French).
The guide explains how to grow ornamental and edible plants in small spaces: pots, bags and planters for balconies, terraces and patios. It proposes species combinations that blend aesthetics and production, and includes direct growing in perforated substrate bags, a method with which tomatoes germinate easily.
The French edition, translated by Denis Richard, was published on March 1, 2012. The original work appeared in 2011.
Aimed at those who want to grow at home and have little time or little space, such as terraces, patios or balconies.
Martyn Andrew Cox is a British Conservative politician and was Leader of Bolton Council in Greater Manchester between and 2021 and 2023. As Leader he was also a member of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and was the Combined Authority's portfolio lead for culture.
