«Una generació sense novel·la?» is Alan Yates's literary criticism essay, published by Edicions 62 in paperback (272 pages, in Catalan).
The essay analyzes the history of Catalan narrative between 1900 and 1925, framed by a title posed as a question: whether or not a novelistic generation existed in that period. Alan Yates reviews Catalan literary historiography, marked by a lecture by Carles Riba, and proposes to rectify the established image of those years.
Work published in 1975 in the Llibres a l'Abast collection, number 122, within the Edicions 62 catalogue.
Aimed at readers interested in literary criticism and early 20th-century Catalan narrative.
