«Una història sense clixés» is the children's picture book by Davide Calì, published by Cruïlla in hardcover (40 pages, in Catalan).
The narrator tries to tell the story of a knight, but a voice interrupts: enough of knights rescuing princesses, because they can save themselves. Nor does the dragon have to be evil. With humor and a constant play on clichés, the book asks whether using a cliché now and then is really so bad.
Published in September 2023 in the Il·lustrats collection by Cruïlla. Illustrations by Anna Aparicio Català and translation from Italian to Catalan by Coral Romà i Garcia.
Recommended for children aged 6 and up and for readers looking for a picture book that humorously questions fairy-tale stereotypes.
