In the late 1930s, with war looming in Europe, a group of scientists gathered at Bawdsey Manor tries to perfect radar in secret. Vic, a reserved physicist, and Kathleen, a local young woman, cross paths when she begins to operate the system, and a friendship marked by silence and danger is born between them.
The novel is inspired by the true story of Bawdsey Manor, where radar was developed.
Suitable for readers of historical fiction and character-driven war narratives, with a realistic setting and a backdrop of scientific discovery.
