This biography explores the life and work of María Zambrano, the first female philosopher in the Spanish language and a disciple of Ortega y Gasset. The book traces her intellectual and life journey, from her birth in Vélez-Málaga to her confrontation with 20th-century totalitarianism through 'poetic reason', marked by the Spanish Civil War and a long exile.
