«Vidas españolas» is the biographical essay by Ricardo García Cárcel and Juan Pablo Fusi, published by Taurus (504 pages, in Spanish).
Ricardo García Cárcel and Juan Pablo Fusi bring together 51 brief portraits of key figures in the history of Spain between the 16th and 20th centuries. Each biography places its subject in context, analyzes their relationships and examines how their image has been projected in literature, film and theater, avoiding the traditional hagiographic tone.
It bears the subtitle «Razón biográfica de España (siglos XVI-XX)» and belongs to the series Españoles Eminentes, initiated by the Fundación March.
For readers of Spanish history looking for a critical and contextualized approach to its great figures.
