«Visca el Carnestoltes!» is the children's story by Estel Baldó, Rosa Gil and Maria Soliva, published by Barcanova in paperback (24 pages, in Catalan).
Carnestoltes arrives at school and encourages everyone to dress up: in pajamas, with mustaches, ponytails or masks. The class gets ready for Fat Thursday, with sandwiches of egg sausage and omelet, and takes part in the cercavila dressed as animals. Designed for early readers, each double page combines short sentences in print and cursive lettering to support independent reading.
It belongs to the collection Llibres infantils i juvenils - El bosc de colors, aimed at readers aged 4 and up.
For children aged 3 to 5 who are starting to read, especially in school settings and Catalan learning contexts.
